Wake Up, America!

JULY 4TH, 2008

INDEPENDENCE DAY

LET FREEDOM RING!

Why do we celebrate Independence Day? Parades, fireworks, cookouts, we enjoy these things, but we need to pause, and think about what this day means. America is at a great crossroads today, and we citizens have important decisions to make this year. We must cast our votes, to decide who our next leaders will be. It is time to look back to July 4th, 1776, and read our Declaration of Independence, which is the defining document of our nation! It is also a call to arms against Tyranny.

The Declaration is just as relevant today as it was in 1776, although our circumstances are different. Please read this great document, and pass it on to every citizen of our great country! We all need to wake up and act, or we won’t have any freedom left to celebrate! We must choose wisely, and then hold our elected representatives accountable for their actions! The signers of the Declaration, and our Constitution, left us a clear and wise plan to guide us into our future, as a nation. We have veered away from this path, into peril! It is time for “We the People” to reclaim our country!

As citizens of a democratic republic, we are obligated to seek the truth concerning issues that confront us, and using our Constitution as a guide, cast our votes accordingly. We have a responsibility, as citizens, to understand the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The fate and destiny of our nation is in our hands! If we neglect our responsibilities, then we allow those who abuse power and authority to gain control over us! Thus, Tyranny can arise again, in America! Do not be complacent, and allow this to happen! Be a true Patriot! Do not allow our rights and liberties to be taken away! Exercise your rights and responsibilities as a citizen!

We ask you, this July 4th, to get as many of our fellow Americans as you can to read the Declaration of Independence, and pass it on to others! Spread the word, from sea to shining sea! Let Freedom Ring!
